Eating Locally...

Once a month I get a shipment in from our closest Food Cooperative. It comes from Arizona but the foods and such are grown all over the southwest. On my way to pick up the coop stuff I usually head to a local grocery store called Sun Harvest and then to the local farmer on the roadside on my way home. Today I stopped and got some fresh stuff for making food for tomorrow (the 4th of July). I am also making my own veggie burgers for tomorrow from a recipe in the latest Vegetarian Times Magazine. I also grow some of my own things in the summer. These are my way of eating locally and supporting our local farmers, growers and such. Here is the high quality fresh stuff I get to eat this week...

From the Farmer... so beautiful!!!

From my garden...
Look at that hilarious zucchini! LOL

  1. That's coll you are cooking with products you have grown yourself. I like your way of blogging about food and I now I won't order cooking books online with my credit card, as I found your blog and the blogroll you include here! Thanks!
