French Bread...

Using a recipe from school I did a home version of a baguette.

2 lb 2 oz bread flour
(I used AP today 'cause that is what I had)
.67 oz salt
.75 oz yeast
1 lb 4 oz water

Mix it all together, knead, put into bowl to rise covered for about an hour.

Punch down and then shape into four sections to sit and rest for a few minutes. Shape into loaves and let rise again.

Score and bake in a 475 degree oven for 20-30 minutes.

Use a pan of water in the bottom of the oven to make the steam to harden loaves crust. (you can see my pan of water just under the bread)

And it is done!!!

Looks yummy and easy Leann! Must try this - I've just got the bread baking bug lately and have been trying a few recipes. Still a "baby" bread maker but keen to learn.

BTW, just spotted that you mentioned a granola recipe. Are you still planning to post this recipe? Sounds yummo!

    Cheers, Wilm
