Today's recipe...

Today's smoothie is so much like drinking applesauce/peach flavored smoothie. I used...

1 medium sized banana
2 small organic gala apples cored but not peeled
1 large peach pitted but not peeled
1 Tbsp orange juice concentrate
1/2 cup apple juice
2 Romaine lettuce leaves
1 cluster of Kale leaves
About 4 ice cubes

OH.MY.GOODNESS...

so I am curious--are you eating your smoothie AS a meal or with a meal. I've been eating them as my lunch leaving me RAVENOUS by dinner

not that I don't have fat to burn. heh

i've also been posting my recipes on my blog. I am trying your today but with mango instead of peach.

Little nervous about the kale

Hey Dana... I am answering here in case anyone else wants to know this, too...

I have hypoglycemia so I eat about five times a day. I usually eat breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, mid-afternoon and then dinner. I have been replacing one of my snack times with the smoothie right now. On Tuesday/Thursdays I am drinking it before I go to class so I can have a later dinner with the family on those nights.

I would love to put it in at breakfast but I have to eat something with it like toast usually because I need a substantial breakfast after not eating all night. The snack replacement has been very beneficial and it seems to be more than what I was getting before and sustaining me better.

Oh, the kale is a milder green. I find that I don't like the stems in mine so I just pull the leaf part off and use that. I have been using Romaine lettuce, spinach or kale in mine anything more bitter is just not palatable for me.

I saw that you posted some of yours and I will be copying and posting those on my bulletin board to keep me trying new stuff. They look yum!!! :)

I am so glad you commented on my site Leann! I used to have your site bookmarked, but our computer crashed a while back & I lost everything. I have blogs listed on the sidebar of my site, do you mind if I list you there so I can read you more consistantly?
Jane
