Southern meets Southwestern...

For breakfast this morning I had a new to me twist on grits. I grew up in the Louisiana/East Texas area and grits were a staple there. I have always loved grits. Since living here in the southwestern part of the US - far west Texas I have developed a love for green chilis. This morning I had a bowl of grits prepared with a bit of salt and butter and then I added Monterray Jack Cheese and two large tablespoons of chopped green chilis. YUM!!! This one is going to be had again in my breakfast lineup. :)
